I ordered a cab on the 18th July, waited about 8 to 10 minutes and no driver was found, at this point I gave up and cancelled the search, closed the app. Today I get a surprise, GETT charged me £1 for this cancellation, on the app says "order cancelled". How can they charge customers for rides that have NOT been hooked because of their inability to find a driver? I know it's just £1 but this is outrageous they think they can throw charges at your card without having provided a service. I only ever used them in the past in emergencies because of their absurd mark up costs sometimes adding high fees to the meter amount, this time I want my money back and I will close my account definitely.

Booked a taxi where the fare showed a range. Then the actual meter fare was below what the range shown was, and then added a £15 platform booking fee and multiple individual £1 fees close to
Doubling the cost of the fare. Nowhere was this readily disclosed in the app, and I’ve contacted them three times to query this and received no response. Avoid. It’s a complete rip off.

Similar to other users here, I have also been hit by the £15 tech fees in addition to the £1.99 platform fee. This was not made known to me up front prior to the booking. Avoid using this app, its a rip-off!

My lady was getting black cabs via gett regularly but they have this very dishonest fee for 'busy time'.So, what is this? The demand is high, according to them, so they increase the price? Imagine if Amazon would do that with a product that is selling well? Or any other company for that matter? Gett is actually giving a very bad name to black cab drivers. Needless to say , my lady will never get a taxi via Gett anymore. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Horrible app. Do not use. They scam you for so much money. On the taxi meter it showed £14 but they charged £40 what was the extra surcharge for? No explanation. They charge ridiculous amounts without any explanation or warning. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP.

A 10 minute trip that cost £22 was in reality £38 why????£16 technology fees....it's a robbery, do not use this company

Disgraceful!!!! Hidden charges. A 15 min taxi ride £25 but actually charged over £40 due to a hidden £15 technology fee and £1.99 service fee. Complete and utter rip off and joke! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Total scam. Do not show “technology fee” and then an £11 fee becomes £29. Deleted app and will never use again.

I should have read reviews on here before using and advise others to do the same..... Not sure there's higher than one star and it'd probably be zero stars if it was allowed.
Hidden fees of £15 that aren't mentioned until you take a journey.

A tota rip off with a £15 fee for almost each call for cab. Black cab is not cheap by itself. With Gett, it gets crazy. Gett doesn’t add value but just add more price! Don’t use it.

If I could score 0 I would. £15 technology fee. What is that all about? £2 would be fair. The fee was more than the cost of the Journey. Never use again. Rather use Uber

Booked a ride not aware of the new ‘T&C’s. Taxi fare £15, Gett fees £17. Total rip off. Do not use this service. London taxi drivers must ensure that they boycott this App because it is alienating customers and encouraging business to use Uber on future trips. Perhaps London taxi drivers could create their own App which is fair for both drivers and customers.

Absolute con. I only use Gett if I am totally DESPERATE. A £12 fare ended up with me paying £30.16 for a less than 10 minute journey. I’m not entirely sure that this ‘technology fee’ is legal, will be looking into this as the drivers don’t see a dime of this money. In fact, cab drivers are utterly shocked when I tell them how much I’m paying. Nice to know Gett are exploiting people to gain.
